To professionalize the Bartending industry, e2i (Employment and Employability Institute), Food Drinks Allied Workers’ Union (FDAWU) and Association of Bartenders & Sommeliers Singapore (ABSS) is working in partnership to promote WSQ Bartender Training Programme. Most bartenders enter the trade through on the job training, mentorship and self-study without attending any formal training.

This WSQ Bartender Training Programme, developed by Workforce Development Agency is nationally endorsed and recognized by the industry.  It is administered by the Association of Bartending & Sommeliers of Singapore (ABSS) and it aims to equip bartenders and aspiring bartenders with the right skills for the job.

Upon completion from course, candidates will be awarded 4 certificates:

1)      WSQ certification on the 3 modules

2)      International Bartending Association (IBA) Certificate# endorsed by both the International Bartenders Association (IBA) and Association of Bartenders & Sommeliers Singapore (ABSS).

# The IBA certificate is recognized worldwide in the bartending profession.

44-hour 20 mins course, conducted over 10 lessons and assessment

Course Fee

Full Course Fee: $1,150 nett

Net Fee after 90% WDA grant: $115 (For Singaporean & PR only)

- Participants must attain 100% attendance, pass all assessments and subject to prevailing conditions.

Union Member will receive further subsidy.
